About McCall Idaho

McCall Idaho is a mountain resort town about 108 miles north of Boise. With a population of 2991 as of the 2010 census, McCall is located on the south shore of Payette Lake. The town is nestled in the center of the Payette National Forest, and boasts amazing mountain views. McCall was originally a logging community, and now is a popular tourist destination all year round for outdoor activities.

Things to do:

Payette Lake visitors can relax on the beach, enjoy various watersports, waverunner & boat rentals are available, you can even book a cruise on the lake.  During the winter months alpine skiing at Brundage Mountain Ski Resort is a popular activity. Other activities available include hiking, fishing, hunting, white water river rafting, the McCall Winter Carnival and much more. There are also several natural hot springs in the area such as Burgdorf Hot Springs also a popular place to visit.

Lodging:

Shore Lodge was opened in 1948 along Shellworth Beach on Payette Lake. The lodge is a resort-style lodge built to be cozy and intimate. Various other hotel accommodations are available around town.

Cabin rentals are also available around the lake and surrounding area. Allowing you to enjoy the mountain living experience! Wake up in the morning and have your coffee on the deck enjoying amazing Idaho scenic vistas!
