Lucky Peak State Park
Lucky Peak State Park is the area surrounding Lucky Peak Lake and Lucky Peak Dam. The lake has as much as a 2680 acres surface area with a water volume of 307,000-acre feet. The area is popular for picnicking, fishing, boating, camping, or biking. Sandy Point and Discovery Park is a 10-minute drive from Boise and Springs Shores Marina is 40 minutes away.
There are three, day-use areas in the park:
- Discovery Park is a popular roadside park offering restrooms, picnic tables, grills, and group shelters. The group shelters offer a great place to host a company party or family reunion.
- Sandy Point at the base of the Lucky Peak Dam offers restrooms, changing areas, showers, charcoal grills, picnic tables, and disc golf. Sandy Point is popular for its sandy beach and clear cool water.
- Spring Shores Marina offers a full-service marina with long-term moorage, fuel, marina supplies, etc. Lakeside access for water enthusiasts is provided by two boat ramps, and parking On-site watercraft rentals and a convenience store are also available.
